In
Saskatoon Jays father ran a Cigar Store, a Restaurant and a small hotel,
The year before becoming Sales Manager
for The Saskatoon Brewing Company in 1920. Jay himself worked at the hotel in 1936. The family lived briefly in
Nutana before moving to City Park in 1917 and spent many
years in a house on 5th Avenue North. Jay had one younger brother, Carl Henry Gould born to his mother Hilma, who sadly died in 1935 and two brothers Robert and Bernie who were born to Minnie, his father's second wife. It is believed he also had a sister, but so far there is no confirmation of this. |
