CHRISTOPHER LEONARD COLEMAN

Sergeant 1382363, 101 Squadron
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve

Son of Frederick and Ada Emily Coleman Wandsworth London

He was the Bomb Aimer aboard SR-C and at the time of the accident would have been

busy with the practice bomb run/drop part of the exercise.

Up to December 2007 information about Christopher had been hard to find, but I'm very happy to say I am now

in contact with his cousin Dave Baker from Hampshire and am very grateful for the following information

and wonderful photograph of Christopher taken during training in Canada

The following is the information provided by Dave Baker

I have been doing family history since 1990 and have quite a good memory of the past,  but I was only 8 when Christopher was killed, also my sister and I were evacuated for the first part of the war, but these are my memories.

Christopher Leonard Coleman.

Born April 1922 at 9 Upper Richmond Road SW 15.  To Frederick & Ada Emily Coleman.  (Ada Emily nee Almond) Christopher being the youngest of three children, from a baby the family lived at 103 Merton Road Wandsworth London, his parents lived there until their deaths.
