STUART & HIS BROTHER WILLIAM |
|
Stuart's parents were Alfred and Mary J. Clarke and their home was in Manvers Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham. He had four brothers; Alfred, Harold, Leslie who was in the Pioneer Corps and William, who was in the Home Guard. Stuart and William were very close and it is thanks to William's son Tony that we now have a photograph and some details of Stuart to better pay tribute to this brave young man from Bomber Command. |
Stuart also had three sisters; Maggie, Ivy and Grace. Sadly all his brothers and sisters have now passed away He was born in 1916 and in the spring of 1942 married Enid P. M. Ball. The marriage is recorded as taking place in Market Bosworth and it was just six months later that Stuart died in the tragic accident that befell Lancaster C - Charlie. They had no children. |
